Mission Statement:
Shaz for Health believes that the use of chemical solutions on the body is becoming toxic and as a result, allergies and other complications are getting more common.
We are committed to formulating, producing and distributing the finest All Natural Products that Mother Nature can offer, alleviating some of this toxic overload. We seek to educate people and prove the effectiveness of all that nature provides.
We will grow and prosper with integrity and honesty, remembering always that through financial success there is a responsibility to the individuals we touch and the environment we are a part of.
A Bit About Shaz:
Shaz has a business background managing restaurants and bars for 7 years. In 1999 she enrolled at Wild Rose College in Calgary in a Master Herbalist Course and graduated in 2001. Shaz is also a practicing Reflexologist and Iridologist. As a healer it was a natural extension of her work to create natural products that she felt happy and comfortable presenting to her clients and the public.
How It Began:

In 2001 Shaz was asked to provide a client with an effective insect repellant due to an outbreak of Dengue Fever. The client was against using conventional insect repellants, which commonly contain the toxic chemical DEET, and wanted a more natural solution. When the formulation was completed and tested by the client, she was pleased and requested 6 more bottles for family and friends.
Shaz for Health was on its way and within 2 years had increased production of the Insect Repellant as well as adding new products to the line, enough to supply 7 retail stores.
In 2003 the outbreak of West Nile Virus in North America created a new market for Shaz for Health products and Shaz began making the products available at local Ontario Farmer's Markets growing in one summer from 1 market to 3 markets and 8 stores in 6 towns.
